Lake George

The Queen of American Lakes

Lake George has been a favorite vacation destination for families, couples, and individuals for generations. The beautiful lake, which measures 32 miles long, offers breathtaking expanses of Adirondack forests, craggy rock faces, and mountains that seem to grow right from the lake. The options for accommodations are as diverse as the festivals and craft shows that take place throughout the year. Choose from luxury RV camps to bare bones campsites and everything in between.

Lake Placid

New York's Olympic Capital

Lake Placid certainly conjures memories of icy rinks and Olympic triumph, but don’t underestimate the allure of this amazing Adirondack destination as a summer option. Lake Placid is rich with High Peak climbs, from Marcy and Cascade to Porter and Haystack. You don’t have to break a sweat, Lake Placid offers shopping and sightseeing that will sate the curious traveler.

Enjoy a wilderness wonderland amidst the high peaks, or take a self guided tour of the site of the 1932 and 1980 Olympic Games including the Olympic Jumping complex and the Mt. Van Hoevenberg Bobsled and Luge Run.

Lake Champlain

587 Shoreline Miles of Fun

Lake Champlain is a beautiful lake extending from Whitehall, New York at its southern end, to Montreal, Canada at its northern most point. The shores of Champlain grace the Adirondacks and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Champlain was significant in Revolutionary War history and continues to be an integral gateway for commerce.

Plattsburgh, Keeseville, Crown Point, and Ticonderoga provide amazing opportunities for camping in this beautiful area. Arrive by RV or with tents packed, and find yourself in the perfect setting to create your next favorite memory. Lake Champlain has three scenic crossings, allowing for fun day trips.

America's Largest Park

The Lakes Region is a super area for canoeing and boating. Camping in the Adirondacks amid the pristine waters of the region are a big part of what makes camping in New York state an unforgettable experience! While camping in this fabulous outdoor country, experience a real Adirondack adventure, canoeing part of the 100 mile canoe trip through the Fulton Chain of Lakes; hike part of the 133 mile Northville to Lake Placid Trail.
